Dear Ukiyo Community,

There’s a quiet but important difference between perception and perspective—and that’s something I’ve been reflecting on deeply.

From the outside, Ukiyo Swim School has been perceived as flexible, understanding, and accommodating—and I’m proud of that. That perception has been built on empathy, trust, and a genuine desire to meet families where they are.

But from our perspective—as instructors planning in advance, as a team committing time and energy—flexibility has come at a cost. Not just financially, but in time, clarity, and long-term sustainability.

That’s why we are now entering a new season of structure at Ukiyo.

We’re moving forward with one unified set of expectations—applied equally to all students and instructors—because we believe this is what strengthens both the quality of teaching and the respect within our community.

  • Ukiyo Swim School operates on a monthly structure, 12 months of the year.

  • Lessons are booked and paid before the last working weekday of each month (by 18:00)

  • Unpaid time slots will no longer be held.

  • All students must check in at Wodny Park reception before every lesson.

  • All rescheduling and absence requests must go through the portal via the “Future Absence” feature.

  • We no longer cancel lessons from within the portal.

  • We no longer negotiate lesson-by-lesson attendance.

And from May 1st, entry will not be granted without a confirmed and paid booking.

  • This clarity is not about restriction — it’s about respect:

  • For your child’s time

  • For your instructor’s preparation

  • And for the school’s long-term ability to deliver high-quality lessons

A Note on Our Team
Every instructor teaching in the Ukiyo Swim School lane space does so under contract with Anthony Schulz Learn to Swim the Aussie Way, operating as Ukiyo Swim School. They are not independent instructors. This shared structure allows us to maintain consistency and protect the values we believe in—especially as our team grows.

Anthony Schulz Learn to Swim the Aussie Way also holds the official agreement with Wodny Park (Warszawianka). This reinforces the importance of following proper check-in, booking, and attendance procedures that apply to everyone equally.

We are proud of the culture we’ve built—and this next step ensures we can protect it and continue delivering meaningful, professional swim instruction to every student who joins us.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
We’re moving forward, together.

Warm regards,
Anthony
